"JOKE OF THE MONTH"
The rules are simple to win: No "xxx" jokes, sorry. Kit Menkin cannot win (relatives, friends and employees can enter and win). Please note, if in the decision of the judges there is no "best" joke, a previous month may be included, and like in horseshoes, there are no ties. Winners of previous months can also win a second or third time - There is no limit.
Please send me your favorite joke. The first one to send it, not only gets the credit, but a good bottle of wine or a box of chocolates (the winner’s choice).

"Grandpa"
On hearing that her elderly grandfather had just passed away, Jenny went straight round to visit her grandmother. When she asked how her grandpa had died, her grandma explained, "He had a heart attack during sex on Sunday morning.
Horrified, Jenny suggested that having sex at the age of 94 was surely asking for trouble.
"Oh no," her grandmother replied, "we had sex every Sunday morning, in time with the church bells (in with the dings and out with the dongs)." She paused, and wiped away a tear. "If it wasn't for that damn ice cream truck going past just as the church bells were ringing, he'd still be alive."
This is the second time Leigh has won. He was one of our original judges when we started. All the votes are cast anonymously and the judges do not know who sent them ( unless they recognize their own joke ). The winner gets a prize and also joins the joke panel.
Leigh Weimers has lived in Los Gatos for 40 years, and for the last 35 years has been the premiere columnist for the San Jose Mercury News. The community ten years ago awarded him the "Mr. San Jose" award. He is very well respected, a very nice guy, down to earth fellow, supporter of many causes and events, and both he and his wife Jeri are not only well liked, but active and well-known in the San Francisco Bay Area. They live in the hills of Los Gatos, where Jeri is an elememtary school teacher. Leigh is one of the original joke panel members for our monthly joke competition. From time to time he contributes his favorites and other tid bits.
