"JOKE OF THE MONTH" The rules are simple to win: No "xxx" jokes, sorry. Kit Menkin cannot win (relatives, friends and employees can enter and win). Please note, if in the decision of the judges there is no "best" joke, a previous month may be included, and like in horseshoes, there are no ties. Winners of previous months can also win a second or third time - There is no limit. Please send me your favorite joke. The first one to send it, not only gets the credit, but a good bottle of wine or a box of chocolate (the winners choice). Winner for April Jerry
Jacobs of San Rafael, California, is the Winner of the April Joke of the Month Jerry started work as a child actor in Detroit, Michigan and has spent over 5 decades in one form of media or another. Jerry has made sound effects for Soupy Sales, owned the largest media production company in Northern California, built broadcast studios for NBC, ABC and NPR, was the sales manager of K-101 in it's halcyon days and most recently was responsible for the turn-a-round of KALW, a San Francisco Public Radio Station and owned one of the world's foremost recording studios. During daylight hours, he consults a number of companies on management issues around advertising and marketing. Jerry resides in San Rafael, Marin County, California, sharing his life with fellow actor and director, Ellen Brooks. He and Ellen enjoy backpacking, camping, motorcycles, travel and laughing at life at every opportunity. They are avid collectors of African Tribal Art. August will find them at the "Edinburgh Fringe Festival" where Ellen will perform with Tuju Taksu a modern Balinese Mask Dance Troup.
Joke of the Month A funeral service is being held in a synagogue for a woman who just passed away. At the end of the service the pall bearers are carrying the casket out, when they accidentally bump into a wall, jarring the casket. They hear a faint moan. They open the casket and find that the woman is alive. In fact, she lives for ten more years! Alas, she finally dies and the funeral is again held at the same synagogue. At the end of the ceremony, the pall bearers are again carrying out the casket. As they are walking down the aisle the husband cries out... "Watch out for the wall!"
