We are pleased to announce that Larry Stepak is the new general manager. Larry, a wine connoisseur extraordinaire, was the general manager of The Plumed Horse, Saratoga, and California Cafe, Los Gatos, who recently took a sabbatical to hone his sommelier skills in France.

He is an old friend of the owners of Cafe Marcella, and worked with Alain Stabler at The Plumed Horse. This restaurant was originally started by the Stablers and the Torre's. Marcella Torre is now Callaway, running her own restaurant in Aptos, California, and her ex-husband Vince owns and operates his restaurant in Cupertino, Cafe Torre ( Cupertino Restaurants on link on our front page ).

Now that you have the soap opera evolution, this is a fun place for romance or casual get together. It is not as loud as it originally was due to some recent changes, but the food is Mediterranean-Italian with great wine prices, as the restaurant also owns the store right next door and sells "retail."
